Our 2026 Lodge Officers and President, Cindy Pearce

Sonja Henie Lodge #29 was founded October 9, 1971 in Reno, Nevada.  It was first of the “modern” lodges as the last Daughters of Norway lodge established was in 1956 in California.  The founding member took its name honoring the Norwegian sakating and cinema star, Sonja Henie.

Sonja Henie Lodge is directed by our lodge President, Cindy Pearce.  As President of our lodge she understands her sense of duty as one to preserve our Norwegian heritage and incorporate into our meetings some practice of the Norwegian language, hands-on activities such as the folk art of rosemaling, our history, Scandinavian culture, and learning common songs as Hurra for deg, Happy Birthday in Norwegian.

Sonja Henie Lodge members meet monthly, every third Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

Our lodge is a non-profit organization and we do look forward to donating to charities in our area.
